Welcome to the URDC

URDC (Urban Research & Development Centre) is a non-profit organization devoted to research on urban issues both locally and internationally. The centre was first established under the auspices of the Faculty of Architecture at the Eastern Mediterranean University, in 1999, and was placed under the auspices of the Eastern Mediterranean University following a re-structuring process in 2005.

Current Events

Please join us in the series of seminars of URDC for celebrating 2018 European Year of Cultural Heritage. As stated by EU, 'the aim of the European Year of Cultural Heritage is to encourage more people to discover and engage with Europe's cultural heritage, and to reinforce a sense of belonging to a common European space. The slogan for the year is: Our heritage: where the past meets the future.'
